The author is a New York qualified attorney focusing on Migration Policy and Visa Issues. He has worked for a number of years in the area of Migration Policy including with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Irish Refugee Council and with the Embassy of Ireland in Berlin. In addition to this he has worked for over 5 years on the ground in Dublin Airport, has practiced as an immigration attorney in the United States and has considerable experience of Border Management policies both at home and abroad. In 2006, he wrote a thesis entitled "Strategic Alliances in the Air Transport Industry," which examined self interlining and other connectivity options for low cost carriers.
